With the feel of an island due to the surrounding rivers and dikes, Sacramento has naturally divided itself into three different sections: Downtown, Midtown, and East Sacramento.
Downtown Sacramento (also known as Old Sacramento) has included the rush of political activity as well as commercialism. Midtown features more of the residential areas, while East Sacramento on the other hand offers a more suburban feel with more housing than business.
