Schools & Education

According to the 2000 Census, Sacramento has increased its numbers of the overall population that has received higher learning in some form.

While the number of high school and lower education levels has not changed much, there was a striking increase in those that attained a bachelor’s degree. In 1990, the reported number was 15.77% of the population over 25, while in 2000, this percentage jumped to 17.51%. Graduate and professional degrees also increased from 6.93% to 8.34%.

More people are becoming more educated. While high school and associate levels of education were in the decline, this may be due to the fact that more residents are completing higher levels of study.

Sacramento is a booming city that promises steady growth and stability. With the high percentage of younger inhabitants and a steady employment growth, the population seems ready to exceed two million and continue growing from there.

The city is simple to navigate with its well-structured and planned grid and offers bus, light rail, train, car, and its own airport for those that like to travel conveniently.
